Dutch Chromatin Meeting November 15, Utrecht

The 21st Dutch Chromatin Meeting, which will be held in Utrecht on November 15th 2024 at Cursus- en vergadercentrum Domstad.

This yearly meeting is the place-to-be for scientists in The Netherlands who are interested in any aspect of chromatin biology: from molecule to organism and from gene to genome-wide. The main goal of the meeting is to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and to foster scientific interaction and cooperation.

This year, we will host four amazing invited speakers (Francesca Mattiroli, Robert Schneider, Bas van Steensel and Franziska Turck), as well as selected talks and a highly interactive poster session. See the preliminary program here.

Opportunities for young members at the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB)

The NVBMB is an adhering body of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB). The IUBMB unites biochemists and molecular biologists in 75 countries and regions. The IUBMB promotes research and education throughout the world, and especially in countries where the subject is still in its early development.

As NVBMB member you can apply for IUBMB fellowships, Travel Fellowships, and participate in IUBMB acivities. To obtain a proof of membership of the NVBMB please contact our membership administration, ledenadministartie@kncv.nl, with nvmvb@kncv.nl in cc.

Please see the IUMBMB website for more information.

Call for nominations NVBMB prize 2025

Every year the NVBMB awards a young independent scientist working in the Netherlands in the area of biochemistry and molecular biology a prize in recognition of their achievements and to promote their career.

The NVBMB-prize amounts to € 2000. Many past awardees have reached an established position, see our website for an overview.
