De Sectie Analytische Chemie van de KNCV en de Hogeschool Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) nodigen u van harte uit voor The Analytical Challenge 2023. Ook dit jaar komen we weer samen voor een aantal lezingen en discussie over een hedendaags analytisch chemisch onderwerp. Het thema dit jaar is “Detecting and Analysing Nature’s Molecules”. In veel onderzoeksgebieden is de natuur een grote inspiratiebron en ook de vele technieken binnen de analytische chemie spelen een belangrijke rol in de ondersteuning van dit onderzoek.
We hebben een aantal interessante sprekers bereid gevonden te vertellen over hoe zij analytische technieken gebruiken in hun werk op dit terrein. Dit varieert van methoden voor de monitoring van biofarmaceutische processen tot het met een smartphone meten van cannabis producten, van de kwaliteitscontrole van therapeutische eiwitten tot de bepaling van componenten van vleesvervangers, en van de analyse bij het ontwikkelen van afbreekbare plastics tot de plaats van analytische chemie in de “biobased economy”.

The Section Analytical Chemistry of the KNCV and the Hogeschool Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) cordially invite you to The Analytical Challenge 2023. We are gathering again for a number of presentations and for discussions about a contemporary analytical chemical topic. The theme of this year is “Detecting and Analysing Nature’s Molecules”. In many research areas nature is a major source of inspiration and the many techniques in the field of analytical chemistry play an important role in supporting this research.
A number of interesting speakers will present how they use analytical techniques in their work in this field. This varies from methods for biopharmaceutical process monitoring to smartphone-based measurement of cannabis products, from quality control of therapeutic proteins to determination of the components of meat substitutes, and from analysis in the development of degradable plastics to the position of analytical chemistry in the biobased eonomy.
The symposium takes place on Friday January 27th, 2023 at the HAN, Laan van Scheut 2 in Nijmegen.
