The MS+M 2025 meeting is the third in a series of meetings that began as a way of bringing together a lively community of scientists exploring the possibilities and challenges at the frontier of mass spectrometry and single-molecule imaging. The inaugural event was held at the University of Oxford in August of 2022, chaired by Stephan Rauschenbach, followed upon by a second meeting held in Madison Wisconsin in October 2023, hosted by Josh Coon.
Both these meetings welcomed academic and industrial scientists from around the world representing disciplines as diverse as analytical, preparative, and native mass spectrometry, molecular electron microscopy, tomography and scanning probe microscopy. The conference acronym, MS+M, stands for Mass Spectrometry plus Microscopy, expressing the vision that this sum is greater than its parts.
