CV
Kathy Sanders is the Director and Manager of Material Science & Engineering (MS&E) at Organon with almost 30 years of experience in solving problems in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles. She started her career at Diosynth and went via different companies: Organon, Schering Plough, MSD Human Health, MSD Animal Health, back to the “New” Organon in 2021.
After setting up a department for Material Science and Characterization within global MSD Animal Health (2016-2021) successfully, Kathy decided to move to Organon, after the spinoff of Organon, to set up “Material Science & Engineering” to deliver global support to the 6 manufacturing sites of Organon.
Kathy is located with her labs at the “Pivot Park” (Science Park in Oss) and collaborates with several Contract Research Organizations inside and outside the Pivot Park.
Kathy and her team consist of experts with many years of experience in:
- Imaging & material identification
- Solid state characterization
- Extraneous matter
- Crystallization
- Particles size by laser diffraction
- Powder characterization
- Thermal analyses and engineering
They deliver support from drug product/drug substance/excipients to primary and secondary packaging.
