Women in Science and Engineering launched at Faculty of Science and Engineering of University of Groningen
WISE is the FSE platform for women in science and engineering. It’s a network group that provides an informal forum for female early career researchers working in STEM (PhDs, postdocs, and tenure trackers). Within WISE, female researchers can communicate with each other about topics of mutual interest and discuss issues and challenges related to their career. All of this is done in an informal fashion and in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
The FSE female networking was originally established by Prof. Petra Rudolf (Physicist) and Prof. Ria Broer (Theoretical Chemist). In February 2019, inspired by the USC WiSE program, Shirin Faraji and Anastasia Borschewsky, Theoretical Chemists, initiated WISE at RUG.
On May 11th at 15:30-17:00, 2021, the WISE kick-off meeting takes place. Everyone regardless of gender is welcome to join the kick-off meeting and panel discussion with five female researchers.
