The fourth NextGenChem@NL symposium is targeted specifically at young faculty staff (assistant/associate professors, tenure trackers, and experienced postdocs at the ‘VENI stage’ in their career) working in the field of chemical research. The symposium provides a unique opportunity for networking and exchanging scientific ideas with other young faculty members within The Netherlands. Our aim is to allow most of the participants to present their work in a (short) presentation. During the afternoon, an interactive panel session will be held to discuss topics ranging from diversity in science, tenure track policies and the future of chemistry in The Netherlands. At the end of the symposium, there will also be time for networking within a social setting.
