Challa Polymer Prize 2017 for Vincent Voet
Vincent Voet receives the award from Prof Ger Challa
During the last edition of the Dutch Polymer Days the Challa Polymer Prize was awarded to Vincent Voet.
Vincent Voet was selected from eight nominees, all with outstanding PhD-theses. He got the bi-annual prize for his thesis entitled: "Block copolymers based on Poly(Vinylidene Fluoride)". Complicated polymer chemistry and difficult and non-trivial characterization work is combined with inspiring exploration of unconventional polymer applications such as sensing, transducing and data storage. The candidate presented pioneering and innovative results in the promising field of fluorinated block copolymers. His results have been ranked at the top 1 to 2% of his research group. He is from Groningen University and worked in the group of Prof Katja Loos.
